John 8:12 Mission Giver:
Bethany supports our missions through our John 8:12 Mission Giver pledges. Our pledges support International, National, State and Local missions. International missions include supporting our Missionary, Clara Biswas in Cambodia and Street Children of Cambodia. National missions include the Society of St. Andrews, UMCOR and Native American Ministries. State missions include Heart Havens. Local missions are Tree of Life and our Blessing Box. You may become a John 8:12 Mission Giver and earn your lapel pin by giving either a one time gift of $120 or pledge to give $10 a month. Please note “John 8:12 Giver” in the memo of the check or on the envelope. You may also give online by selecting the John 8:12 tab. Thank you for supporting our missions!
Bethany Preschool:
For over 25 years Bethany Preschool has been a mission at Bethany United Methodist Church. Bethany Preschool welcomes families of all faiths. The preschool strives to nurture all the needs of the children-emotional, physical and spiritual.
Bethany Blessing Box:
One of our ministries to the community is our Blessing Box. The box is located behind the church. This is a box where people can donate and receive non-perishable food and other items. You are welcome to volunteer for a week or more of supplying the box or just drop things off at random. Some donation suggestions include: food, toiletries, cleaning products, paper products and clothing items.
Tree of Life:
Bethany supports Tree of Life Ministries in Purcellville. The purpose of Tree of Life is to “reach out to the poor and needy in our community with the love of Jesus Christ.” Bethany supports the Tree of Life in many ways throughout the year. Bethany participates in the Tree of Life Community Kitchen by preparing dinners and serving them to the needy in Purcellville several times a year. Bethany conducts a food drive during Lent to support the Tree of Life Food Pantry. Bethany also does a Back to School Clothing Drive to get clothing for the Tree of Life Clothing Closet. Bethany gives monetary gifts from John 8:12 funds and donations from our congregation to support all the good works of the Tree of Life.
